The shows I currently follow are Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Glee, Ugly Betty, House, Desperate Housewives and How I Met Your Mother.
It's as if the writer's strike sucked the creativity out of (almost) everyone because everything's getting so BORING.
Glee started out so well in the first few episodes, but the fake pregnancy is getting boring. The only thing I look forward to now are their sectional numbers! Grey's is also getting boring.. Sorry Chief, but no one cares about your drinking problems. And the Mercy West Seattle Grace merger was a bust, because the only good thing out of it is the new hot resident who's into Christina! And also maybe because everyone's - MerDer and ChristiOwen - happy but I'm loving the new Cardio God, Teddy. Maybe the new year will bring refreshed ideas from Shonda Rhimes!
Ugly Betty was also losing my interest with the whole Community of the Phoenix crap, but I think the Bahamas episode brought me back. I kinda love Betty & Matt - and now that Amanda's finally over Matt, we can get the old her back because let's face it, Amanda with feelings is not funny.
House maintains as it is because you know, the medical cases just reel you in. HIMYM is also still funny as ever, and I think the reason why the show's doing so well is because their humour is so simple and in-your-face that you don't need OHNOSHEDIDN'T drama to create hype. I'm also loving Desperate Housewives, so I'm deffo looking forward to that.
I'm also getting fed up of Gossip Girl, because here I am thinking their drama is so boring as Serena's a slut, the Tripp love triangle was so out of the blue, Jenny is so annoying and just when I was getting sick of Blair & Chuck, they decide to give Chuck some limelight in episode 12 and show his daddy issues but this particular scene just melted me. I guess I've always had a thing for bad boys gone good, well at least for the girl of his dreams. Haha. :)
Why can't the UCL interview be about TV shows and Hollywood? I'll definitely ace it. And then they'll come begging for me.
Okay I think this post was an eye-opener for me as well, about how much of a TV junkie I am, and that maybe, just maybe, I should allocate the time I spend watching/discussing/complaining about TV on let's say.. my A Levels and interview preparations. Amirah, OUT!
